So surprised.....

So you think you can dance finalists are Kayla, Janine, Brandon, Evan. I was really hoping Melissa would have beat out Janine to be in the Final-but it's America's favorite dancer not necessarily the best dancer. OH well.

Who is Dancing Momma???

Because occasionally I do get visitors on my blog that don't know me personally, I thought I would take a moment and share more about myself.

I am:
Mother to 3 beautiful and very different girls
Wife to Hunky Husband Joe for 8 years (almost-anniversary next month)
Sister to the funnest/most creative/and craziest people on the planet-honestly.
Daughter to the most Caring/Giving parents ever
Friend to anyone I can be a friend to-I love people and their unique differences/talents.

Things that make me who I am: I love doing things-being out and enjoying life. I love to dance-(Ballroom and Modern mostly) and to play sports (any). I love all things competitive-but I am not a sore loser. I love to fix things and I am guilty of crying whenever my heart is touched by others. I am very sensitive to others' feelings. If you need someone to cry with you-I will-promise-i can't help myself. On the opposite end of crying-I love laughing. I love to hang out with people who I know will make me laugh. I love finding deals/couponing!! I love reading. I love sleeping in. And I love good food. I love wide open spaces, sunshine, flowers, and Autumn. And above all I know that there is a God and that his son Jesus Christ is my Savior.

Reading that list makes me feel overwhelmingly blessed to be who I am.

So you think you can dance

So my choices on who will go home next has become way too difficult but here are my picks:
Evan and Melissa. Melissa has been one I thought would make it to the Final but after watching her solo performances I find them lacking and the other girls' more moving. Because the girls all did tremendous last night-I judged by their solos. Evan-love him-but the other guys are ahead - only the votes will save him i think. My top 4 are Jeanette, Kayla, Brandon and Ade. I would definitely love to see Kayla paired up with a man that can keep up with her. She is so amazing and Jeanette is such a little ball of fire-I love that she isn't the traditional dancer and she is just wowing everyone. Ade is such a driving force-powerful and creative at the same time. Brandon-who doesn't love this guy-so much personality and the energy he shares is contageous. I am excited for tonights show-showing all of the emmy nominated routines-can't wait!! Any of those 4 could win and I would not be dissapointed at all.

SHOCKFACTOR

Amber's hair has been cut. Here it is:

We finally cut her hair-well she started it-took some scissors and cut a few strands in front chin level-I really could have kept her hair long and tapered it but since it was almost down to her bottom we just decided it was best to whack it off and donate it. I will really miss doing her hair in twisty braids-or "round and rounds" as she likes to call them. And I am positive I will have a harder time doing her hair from now on with not much length to work with-but her hair is so super thick that it looks really cute like this. It matches her personality more.

On another note- My thoughts on So you think you can dance last night. Finally Jason has shown me that he deserves to be in this competition. This dance that he danced with Janine was phenominal, choreographed by Travis-and was my favorite of the night. Way to go you two!! Sadly the two who I think will be going home is Randy and Kapono-both just didn't bring it as much as the rest-but two of my favorite personalities this season.

Grande Ronde Lake

Last weekend we went camping at Grand Ronde Lake Campground-near North Powder just north of Baker, Oregon. We choose this place because there is only 8 campsites so it's quiet and it's so beautiful +it's a great place to do some fishing. Here are a few pictures of the Lake:

Joe with niece Violet

Here are some pictures of the cousins fishing-Whitney and Michael caught 4 Rainbow Trout-which we all shared for dinner (at least those who like fish did).

We even got to see some deer while up there. One walked into our campsite. Another we saw eating in the meadow down by the lake. And we actually had to stop our car to let three cross the road in front of us as we arrived. It was so fun for the kids to see the wildlife and experience the great outdoors-including the mosquitos, a little bit of rain, smoke from the campfire and chilly nights.

Our 4th of July

Saturday we packed up a picnic and took the kids to a park that wasn't very crowded and had lunch. It was relaxing and pretty hot after a bit-so we decided to take a walk down by the river for about an hour.
The girls really loved it and it was great to be around nature on such a beautiful day. We decided to try and take a family picture and so when the area was clear of cyclists, i set up the camera on the stroller. Then tried not to laugh as we heard a cyclist coming as we were waiting or the timer to go off. I was thinking great-i went through all that trouble to set it up perfect and the camera will go off right as the bike goes past. Luckily it took our family picture before the biker came-but unluckily-the camera fell over as the cyclist went past. Again luckily the camera didn't break. Another cyclist actually stopped to take our picture after witnessing the first attempt-he was so nice because he took differnt shots. After he left-i was wondering if that was his day job. LOL.
After we got home-we had a quick nap/dinner and then back out for fireworks. We went to a different show than we normally go to and were pleasantly surprised how nice this show was. We found a great spot and next year will go back. The girls loved it-except Brooke-she was a little uncertain at the loud booms and wimpered a bit..but by the end she was content. Amber was hilarious-jumping up and down the entire time like a jumping bean.

So you think you can dance

Alright My favorite dances from tonights show were:
Cha Cha Jeanette and Brandon-Smokin' and fun.
Classical Ballet by Melissa and Ade -Beautiful-I loved it.
Quickstep by Karla and Vitolio-Entertaining to the max
Judging from tonights performances the couples I think are in the most trouble for going home are Evan/Randy and Caitlyn/Jason.
Phillip/Janine and Kayla/Kapono 's routines were both good so I really don't know who the third couple would be to join the other two.
With that said my choices to go home would be Jason and Karla-because neither of them really stand out to me in any of their routines.
