We went down to my parent's home this last weekend for memorial day. It was a nice visit and April came up as well so I really enjoyed spending time with her-and the kids did too. I was able to stop by my best friends to say hello and the girls got to bottle feed some calves that she just got. They loved that-and petting the horse she is boarding at the moment. We also got to visit with some cousins that I haven't seen in years so that was a nice addition to our weekend too! I took some pictures of our little holiday:
Here are the girls swinging over by mom's house..I love the one of Whitney-
And Here is Amber mowing the yard with Auntie April--that lasted about five minutes until grandpa found out...I guess we still can get in trouble when we are adults..
Next is the pictures of all of the famiy assembled at grandpa's grave on Monday. We displayed the headstone that all of the grandkids + her sons got together to purchase for our grandparents. It was a neat suprise for my grandmother and it turned out very beautiful. I posted it so those that weren't able to come down could see it.

Too Funny Not To Post
So yesterday I was outside visiting with a friend who was walking by our apt. Joe had ushered the girls back inside because Amber needed to go potty. Then about two minutes later Amber comes barreling outside with her pants down to her ankles screaming/crying and running away from Joe. Apparently she wanted help wiping and Joe wasn't qualified in her opinion. It was so funny watching Joe catch up to her and try to grab her and save what modesty she had left. I couldn't help but laugh. Thankfully my friend has kids herself and knows how it is...Otherwise it could have been emb arrassing. I still keep running the scene through my head because it was that hilarious. My next thoughts after funny were: i wish i had my camera and I hope this never happens in public again-especially at church...could you just imagine?? Aahh Good Times.

Night Parade!!
Tonight we took the girls to a parade with their cousins. Whitney made this sign and held it up through about 90 percent of the time -It says "go" about 15 times on it.. I asked her who she was cheering on and she said the whole parade..it was funny because alot of the parade participants that walked near her shook her hand or gave her high fives...
And then there was Amber who jumped up and down more excitedly than any other kid around her-you'd think she was opening birthday presents. She would wave both hands in the air and whenever a band came by she would march with them and pretend to play either a trumpet or trumbone-I think she would switch. Here is a picture of that (and whitney holding her sign up):
By the end of this 3+ hr parade we were all looking pretty tired as you can see in the next photo:
Try not to laugh too hard!!!

Blue Eyed Beauty!!!
Okay so I have told my sisters about my daughter Brooke's blue eyes and haven't been able to post a picture of them yet that does them justice but I found this picture that does the job close enough; They are a very deep cornflower blue-so pretty -and a little out of the ordinary next to her two brown eyed sisters. Aren't genetics fun!!
