I went into labor early Friday morning about 1:00 a.m. and delivered Brooke at 11:15am. She was 9 lb 9 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. She looks like both amber and whitney and i can't really say what color her hair is-mom says it's red like amber's but it looks to have some blonde in it too-so we will see what happens in the next few months-if it falls out and grows back in a different color or what. Anyway I didn't have to be induced-but they did have to break my water because it wouldn't go on its own. But that's okay i had my epidural by then and so i didn't feel any pain-but I tell you what they gave me just enough so that i could move my legs and I totally felt to push-only for 30 minutes and out she came. Brooke and I are home now and we are both doing fine-and are being mugged by all family members present, including grandma and grandpa-speaking of which-happy birthday dad-you now get to share you birthday with Brooke. Here are some cute pictures of the new baby and our new family.

Oh she is so cute! Congrats again! She's beautiful, and I have to admit I'm a smidgen jealous! Truly, let me know if there's anything I can do to help in anyway!
GOOD FOR YOU!! That's great. I'm glad all went well and that you were able to have the delivery the way you wanted it. She is cute and she did end up being big. Did you notice a difference from your others? Are you a diabetic? I'm a little suprised she was so big since your so tiny!! Congratulations, I'm really excited for you. hope all is well!
Congrats! I can't believe you had a 9 pound baby. You even beat all of my kids on that. Peyton was my biggest at 9 lbs 8 oz. WOW!! I just found out Nicole had her first baby on Nov.9th.
I didn't have gestational diabetes with any of my pregnancies-I gained 24 lbs with this pregnancy-compared to 17 with my last two. So it's really hard for the drs to tell how big my babies will be-because i am pretty much all baby..but my dr said next time he will induce me whether i like it or not because I seem to pop out whoppers-and at my increase rate my next would be 12 lbs. Can you just imagine??? Ouchy ouchy ouchy is all i think about that.
It's Nicole. How are you doing? Been a long time. So when are the two of you going to have a boy, huh? :) I just had my first. Dallin Clark. I think he's a doll. Hope you and Joe are doing well. http://www.therussellrichinsfamily.blogspot.com/
Baby size is always so interesting to me. What makes them big and others small is beyond me. I had big babies as well. but they didn't always get bigger. they seemed to maintain at some point. I did have a the same diet the whole time, and not really any weight gain. I wasn't big with all of my babies (my weight gain usually comes postpartum.)
My first was 8 lb 3 oz.
#2. was- 6 lb. 15 oz
#3. was- 9 lb. 13 oz
#4. was- 8 lbs 13 oz
#5. was- 9 lbs even.
I never officially had diabetes either. And the most I even gained with a baby was 19 lbs. So it is all baby too. I guess my point was that they may not continue to get bigger and bigger. They could maintain? Here's for hoping anyway!! Good Luck!!
Congratulations! Babys are always perfect and sweet. I hope she is an easy one for you :)
