My morning madness

3:00 am I woke to find Amber curled in bed next to me. I carried her to her room and tucked her in- Whitney gets up saying she had a bad dream. I proceed to take her back to her bed, tuck her in, rub her head and tell her a fairytale type story to get the monsters out of her head. 20 minutes into this-she tells me she is still scared and wants to watch a movie...I was really tired at this point and sleepiness and logic sometimes don't go hand in hand. In the living room I set the volume down to low so the rest of the house wouldn't be bothered by the noise, when out comes Amber. So I tell them when the movie is over they are to go back to bed. 5 a.m. I send the girls to their beds-and we all sleep in until 7:55-and I realize that Amber's bus is supposed to pick her up in 15 minutes. So I get her dressed and do her hair and fix her breakfast in record time. The bus came-she didn't want to get on. SO I spend the next 20 minutes getting Whitney and Brooke dressed and ready and then drive Amber to school, then pick up Whitney's friend and take them to school. Brooke and I then go to an Autoparts store to get a replacement light for the car. When we finally get home the phone rings-it's Ambers' teacher-she has been crying the last ten minutes and they couldn't get her calmed down. So out the door we went to bring Amber home from school. Yeah -it was a little crazy this morning.

We call those "why did I even get out of bed this morning?" days at our house! Hope tomorrow is better. It's only making you stronger, right? :) Thanks for sharing, it makes the rest of us smile and sympathize....
