Memorial Day Weekend.

We went down to my parent's home this last weekend for memorial day. It was a nice visit and April came up as well so I really enjoyed spending time with her-and the kids did too. I was able to stop by my best friends to say hello and the girls got to bottle feed some calves that she just got. They loved that-and petting the horse she is boarding at the moment. We also got to visit with some cousins that I haven't seen in years so that was a nice addition to our weekend too! I took some pictures of our little holiday:
Here are the girls swinging over by mom's house..I love the one of Whitney-
And Here is Amber mowing the yard with Auntie April--that lasted about five minutes until grandpa found out...I guess we still can get in trouble when we are adults..

Next is the pictures of all of the famiy assembled at grandpa's grave on Monday. We displayed the headstone that all of the grandkids + her sons got together to purchase for our grandparents. It was a neat suprise for my grandmother and it turned out very beautiful. I posted it so those that weren't able to come down could see it.

It's a VERY nice headstone. Thank you for sharing, for those of us who didn't make it up to the reunion.

What a nice thing to do for your grandma. What temple is on the headstone?

It is so true that you can still get in trouble even as adults. Looks like you had fun. How far away are you from your parents?

We live about two hours away so it's nice that it's not a very long trip to go see them. And it's the I.F. temple on the headstone.

I agree that the headstone turned out gorgeous. I bet your grandma was thrilled. Is it weird to think she would be thrilled about something where she will be buried? Sorry, I just thought of that! Speaking of this, my mom came home from the cemetary saying she wanted to buy a plot in the cemetary in Connell and pick her own headstone and just have it put there! LOL! She is CRAZY!
