Pukey and Brace

Okay so we went to the dr. yesterday and found out that joe only really compressed one of his vertebrae and wont need any surgery -just a brace to help him heal. He isn't allowed to lift anything heavier than 5 lbs for the next 3 months. Now that the initial stiffness from the fall has worn off-he is moving around a little bit more-but still taking things really slow-he will get to go back to work in two weeks. So far so good. I was able to go to enrichment last night-they had babysitting-so i finally got some time for me in this week-even with brooke attached. Plus Brooke went to bed at 10:30 so I actually got to bed before 11!!!! After much needed rest I am feeling more energized. Which is good-because whitney had her 2nd snow day today with no school-and she and amber are constantly in need of mediator mommy. I bought this boppy with this slipcover case to go with it andit is really helping me out. And since Brooke has been suffering from a little acid reflux it's helping her out too. At 7 1/2 weeks Brooke now weighs 13 1/2 lbs. People seriously don't believe me when I tell them how old she is. But here are some recent photos of the cutie..I like the second one because you can see that her eyes are still blue and she is doing the famous pout that Whitney and cousin Violet both do as well.

She is so cute! I know what you mean about "me time" I don't get much even with living with my parents, because I still have to watch the kids, plus Jake works 5 days a week, from 8am to 9pm. And Peyton doesn't even get to go to school, he missed the deadline, I can't wait until next year. I hope Joe gets to feeling better, he can't even lift Brooke, right.

ARin, this sounds like my kids. Ian was 10lbs at birth. so by 2 months he was over 15 pounds. Nobody believed how old he was. I love the pics. The kids are so cute. Hope Joe heals soon. Good Luck!

Hello Arin!! Wow, what a blast from the past when you commented on my blog. I haven't talked to you in years and I had no idea where you were, what you have been doing, so I am so excited that you have a blog and I can keep up that way. Congratulations on three cute little girls, how much fun is that!

So scary about your husband, I hope that he gets back to normal soon and thank goodness his injury wasn't worse.
